4 Facial Cleansers I’m Loving Right Now

As we’re almost in May, this post is obviously seriously behind. But, I had to get this long overdue post scheduled and completed. I’ve had a few issues over the last few months with my skin, and breakouts were at an all-time high. Luckily, I found a few facial cleansers that worked with my skin and helped ease the breakouts and keep them clear. Along with the new facial cleansers, I also did a few things in my diet that helped ease the breakouts. I’ll share what I did for that in another post. Today’s all about what facial cleansers are actually worth it and a few frequently asked questions about facial cleansers.

Are foaming facial cleansers bad?

I personally think it depends on the cleanser and what the ingredients involve. Some foaming cleansers can be really irritable to your skin thanks to known ingredients in those cleansers like Sodium Lauryl Sulfate. I’ve had my share of foaming cleansers not doing the job but I found the Dermalogica Breakout Clearing Foaming Wash to really get the job done and my skin is never irritated after.

Can you use two cleansers at the same time?

I say the answer is yes. But, you have to make sure those two products work well together or that could end up in a massive breakout. Two products I use simultaneously together are the Sunday Riley Ceramic Slip Cleanser and the Tatcha Camellia Cleansing Oil. They work so well together on my skin. I think the best answer is to really read your labels and do your research but those two products are my go-to and leave my skin feeling super smooth and feeling clean.

What are some good facial cleansers?

My top 4 facial cleansers for my oily skin are the Sunday Riley Ceramic Slip Cleanser, Tula Purifying Face Cleanser, iS Clinical Cleansing Complex, and

Purifying Face Cleanser

This 5-star rated product should be on your skincare must-have list. The cleanser has probiotics + superfoods that help condition skin without stripping or over-drying.

On rotation daily. I also mix it with the Tatcha Cleansing Oil on days when my skin is feeling really oily or I’ve work makeup.

iS Clinical

Cleansing Complex

This was actually referred to me by my dermatologist who specializes in African American skin.  This smooth cleanser is on my cleaning routine in the AM and PM.

Essential - C Cleanser

This is one I like to use in the mornings sometimes and not an everyday cleanser. I’m obsessed with the citrus burst it gives off in the am.
