When fall comes we look forward to watching the leaves change into beautiful fall foliage of red, orange, and yellow shade. The warmth of the scenery along with the cool crisp air fall inspires us to get out and enjoy the beauty of nature.

South Fulton Scenic Byway

Just far enough from the bustling energy of the city but close enough to find fun things to do, the South Fulton Scenic Byway is the perfect drive for fall foliage! Wind down the roads of Cochran Mill, Hutcheson Ferry, and State Highway 70 and take in a fresh breath of air at Cochran Mill Park right at the center of your drive. 

Morgan Falls Overlook Park

Stretching over 30 acres, Morgan Falls Overlook Park in Sandy Springs boasts beautiful sunsets, Instagram-worthy fall foliage, and plenty of room to enjoy the scenery. Once you get to the park host an afternoon picnic, enjoy the breeze on the porch swings, get your steps in on the hiking trails, or roast a few marshmallows in the fire pits! 

Sweetwater Creek State Park

Just 15 miles from Downtown Atlanta, Sweetwater Creek State Park is located in Lithia Springs. Named after Sweetwater Creek, the park offer plenty of room to soak in the fall terrain. From the towering trees to the sound of babbling water Sweetwater Creek Park is the perfect drive for families looking for a peaceful day in nature. 

Grant Park

While only a stone’s throw from Downtown Atlanta, Grant Park is the perfect drive if you want to stay in the heart of the city while enjoying the beauty of fall! It’s perfect if you had a long day at work and want to take a detour on the way home

Atlanta’s oldest surviving city park, Grant Park is surrounded by Victorian-style homes. It’s a short distance from Zoo Atlanta and Cyclorama, Grant Park stretches over 130 acres, with plenty to see and do. 

Piedmont Park

Uniquely beautiful and located in the heart of Atlanta, Piedmont Park may be the most beautiful place to enjoy fall foliage in the city. Although you can’t drive through the park, the trip to our urban hideaway flaunts gorgeous views of Atlanta nestled between a canopy of changing leaves and trees, crisp air, and busy people dressed for sweater weather.
