My Top 5 Atlanta Food Trucks

This one is for all of the foodies, Atlanta food truck season is finally upon us. As we are known for our southern soul touching comfort food, Atlanta’s food trucks are a mouth watering experience that you should not have to miss. No worries though, I have created a short list of trucks to check out while you are enjoying the ATL culture!

Atlanta Food Trucks and Where to Find Them.

Bankhead Seafood

Kicking off my top 5 Atlanta food trucks list is, Bankhead Seafood. Handmade with soul, this family owned and operated restaurant has made icon status in the Atlanta streets as it is known for their delicious seafood options. Bankhead Seafood has been serving their community for more than 50 years. This establishment even received a stamp of approval from famous rap artists T.I. and Killer Mike.

Must Have Dish: The Blackened Salmon Cobb Salad. You typically wouldn’t think to get a salad from a food truck but this one is delicious.

Location: Bankhead Seafood, 1651 Donald Lee Hollowell Pkwy NW, Atlanta, GA 30318

Uptown Food Truck

Uptown Food Truck is taking over downtown Atlanta one hangry appetite at a time. With items to choose from like the thickly-brushed honey mustard wings to sauce-drenched polish sausage to gourmet burgers too, there’s a ton of thick eats stuffed on-board, just waiting to make you and your stomach happy. Something that I enjoy about this food truck in particular is that if you decide to have them cater your next event and there is something not on the menu, Uptown Food Truck will take customized orders for your catering package to fit you and your guest needs.

Let’s Taco Bout It

You can never go wrong with street tacos especially when they incorporate flavors from different cuisines from all around the world. From your choice of India, Korean, Mexican, Southern America, and many more! Their Korean BBQ looks delicious and you can choose to get them as street tacos or you can create a rice or quinoa bowl. We’re all here for duality and balance! What is also great about this food truck is that they do have a physical brick and mortar location available.

Location: 3781 Presidential Pkwy, Atlanta, GA 30340

The Funnel Cake Guys

Think back to your favorite funnel cake – the one you’ve thought about every year waiting for the next carnival season… it doesn’t stand a chance to the Funnel Cake Guys. Specialities ranging from peach cobbler funnel cakes to funnel cake ice cream cones, with endless stops popping up in between.

You can always count on The Funnel Cake Guys to show up and deliver the sweet taste of powdery goodness to finish off your food truck experience!

Location: Piedmont Park, 1320 Monroe Dr NE, Atlanta, GA 30306

GAS Food Truck ATL

“Good Azz Sandwiches and more!”, this plant based food truck is bringing you flavor with a slogan like that, you have got to get your hands on one. Especially the Jerk Diesel sandwich, made with two Jerked Beyond Patties (Spicy or Mild) Mayo, Pickles, Lettuce, Tomato, Onions (Raw or Grilled). Served on a sesame seed bun, topped off with a signature jerk diesel sauce and sidewinder fries. I’m not a vegetarian but this the way this food is looking, I just may get used to this plant based lifestyle.

Location: 2889 Memorial Dr SE, Atlanta, GA 30317

***BONUS MEALS ON WHEELS***

You can never go wrong with a little more variety, which is why I couldn’t leave out these two mouth watering food trucks!

Cafe Bourbon St.

“A chef’s kiss” as people would say. If you are looking for an authentic New Orleans feel but can’t make the trip to Louisiana for the real deal then look no further because Cafe Bourbon St. is the Louisiana meal on wheels run by a real New Orleans family. With a variety of items to choose from like the popular Bourbon St. Cajun Shrimp basket or the sweet and savory chicken and beignets or the jambalaya egg rolls! Cafe Bourbon St. is definitely the place to be if you are looking for authenticity.

Location: 1318 Sylvan Rd SW, Atlanta, GA 30310

The Blaxican

The Blaxican is a combination of two cultures to form flavorful and filling meals. Calling it Mexican soul-food, the family oriented chefs  are known for their collard greens quesadilla. Back in 2015, The Blaxican won the restaurant truck of the year award. They also have a physical location in Peachtree. For the location of the food truck, check out their calendar on their site for the next event location.
