Organizing your pantry doesn’t have to be something that breaks the bank. When organizing your pantry, most people think this is something you have to spend a lot of money on, but it does not take a ton of money to have an organized pantry. When we built our home, the pantry wasn’t the first thing I thought about on my list of must-haves, but after a year in our space, we quickly realized that the pantry we have within our kitchen would not be enough. As I started to really imagine the space, I quickly realized how there was one space within arm’s reach of our kitchen that we weren’t using, our coat closet. I started sketching up how this space should look, what we needed the extra space for, and reached out to the team I usually work with at California Closets.
The space still isn’t huge, but it gave us everything extra we needed, and I’m so excited to share the full reveal with you guys today. If you’ve followed me on Instagram, you’ve seen the reveal of the pantry. Small or large space, I’m sharing a few things to think about when doing your pantry organization.
Small Pantry Organization Ideas
With this space, I knew we wanted to treat it as our “overflow pantry,” where we would put items that we buy in bulk like drinks, chips, water, etc. It’s the perfect sizing for items like this, and we even added a neat feature of the wine rack and drawer addition to hold even more things. What I love about this built-in space is definitely storing my baskets, jars, and other organizational items to fully complete the space and make it look uniformed.
I grabbed these baskets from here, and most of my organizational supplies usually come from this place. And I find it easy to mix and match what I need in one place but still keep a beautifully designed space at the forefront of it all. I love that with any home, and you really can do anything and make space the home you’ve wanted but on a budget. With small changes using spaces you aren’t doing anything with, like this coat closet, I was able to turn it into a used space that fit our needs.
Just because your pantry is small doesn’t mean you can’t get full use out of the space. Grab baskets and containers, which in my opinion, help space appear larger, and you can see where everything is located. Please don’t feel overwhelmed with organizing the space either.
