Whether we would like to admit it or not, being a girl is quite similar to being a protagonist in those hilarious infomercials. You never know what is waiting for you once you open that cabinet door or how many layers you need to dig through until you find that perfect lipstick. Between the eye shadows, beauty blender, and your favorite makeup brush, certain makeup and beauty products that can be found in those cabinets date back to 2007 and most of them can be used as exhibits in a museum. When all hope is lost, creativity can help you save the day, so why not opt for some of these easy makeup organization tricks to store your makeup:
5 MAKEUP ORGANIZATION SIMPLE HACKS
Magnetic Appeal
Contrary to popular belief, organizing does not necessarily have to be boring, and with just a bit of imagination, it can become a great work of art. For this project, you will be needing a magnetic board, some decorative paper, a couple of small magnets, and a pinch of glue. Simply stick the magnets on your favorite beauty products, give that board a wrapping makeover and stick the products up for display. Not only is it quite easy, but it’s also a great way to make your home your fashion accessory.
Divide and Conquer
We all have that one drawer – you know the one. This is the drawer where you can find crushed eyeshadow you never used but don’t want to throw out, lipstick that you once borrowed a couple of years ago and never returned, conditioner samples you got last year on the beach, and perhaps your organizational skills buried under all that mess. The best you can do is purchase some inexpensive drawer dividers (or better yet – make your own) and separate your products by type, style, color, or whatever suits you best. It is a simple and yet effective way to keep all your products organized and visible.

A fun and inexpensive DIY project I saw recently involved candle jars (or mason jars) on a wall-mounted slab. This makeup holder option not only now gives you drawer space back but places everything in eye view so it doesn’t stay unused for another 7 years.
Cooking with Style
The perfect recipe for organizing your makeup products can be found quite easily by repurposing a few of your kitchen utensils. For instance, what was once a spice rack can now find its purpose as a perfume holder. Revolving racks or cake stands are a cool and chic way to display your favorite products. Why not turn the old wine racks into practical holders for hair sprays and deodorants? You can always make use of old jars and loaf pans to store smaller beauty products in a convenient manner.
Hang in There
The first rule of organizing is to make use of all the available space you have, meaning your doors, walls and even ceiling should be considered your next storing facility. Hanging shoe organizers make wonderful storing spaces for large hair products or you can even use hooks inside your cabinet doors for the same purpose. Hanging baskets in chic designs is another way to keep your makeup and beauty products displayed, and you can always install a few shelves to make a nail polish display.
Make Vanity Your Strong Point
Last but certainly not least, we all know that a true beauty queen can never go without a fully equipped makeup vanity. Imagine that your vanity is your office space and make sure that all your beauty essentials are easily accessible. Besides, it is very important to have the ability to perceive yourself from every angle, so don’t go cheap with different-sized mirrors. Lastly, good illumination is one of the most important aspects of a good makeup artist. Thankfully, there are all kinds of affordable options for lighting online so you do not have to stroll around for days looking for the best option.
Rummaging through all these beauty essentials can be perceived as a living nightmare and we never seem to have a good solution for our makeup organization. Fortunately, with just a bit of imagination and effort, you can easily transform your creative mess into a true beauty parlor.
